Guide
GAME PLANThe main game plan for using this build is to play aggressively, keeping constant pressure on the opponent's team, and using your mobility with your Super to reposition yourself around as you need.Do not be afraid to spam your Super when in combat. In fact, getting accustomed to using your Super repeatedly is a habit you should get used to when playing Stu, as you can get much more value out of him by using his Super constantly. Reposition yourself depending on the target you're fighting. Stay out of range of close-range brawlers like tanks, and try to close the distance and get closer to brawlers that struggle in close range combat like marksman and throwers. The breakthrough gadget is essential for opening up the map, and being able to close in on fragile targets like throwers that are often hiding behind walls, as Stu can very easily defeat them at close range. This gadget is also extremely useful in Brawl Ball to remove the walls near the enemy goal and thus making it easier for you and your allies to score.Be mindful of how the map will change as you break the walls, and how that will affect your allies. Try to break walls the enemies are hiding behind, especially if you have marksman allies like Piper or Belle that will greatly appreciate the opened map, but also try to avoid breaking walls that are being used by your thrower allies, like Dynamike or Tick, as breaking those walls may leave your allies vulnerable to being taken out more easily.Try to always have your Super charged if possible. As this will allow you to quickly ambush an enemy or escape from a dangerous situation. Avoid groups of enemies, as Stu performs better in 1v1s. He can use his Super to dodge enemy projectiles, and given that his attack doesn't do any form of splash damage, he is best when fighting against enemies that are isolated from their allies.ALTERNATIVESSpeed Zone is an alternative option to Breakthrough which can help greatly for allies to control a particular area of the map. This gadget especially synergizes very well with 8-bit as an ally, as if 8-bit places his booster to cover the same area, the entire team will benefit from higher damage and mobility, making you very difficult to push back by enemies. 8-bit in particular greatly appreciates that speed boost.I prefer Breakthrough in most situations though as it allows you to open up the map and apply more pressure on the enemy team, threatening enemy throwers and enabling your long-ranged allies to wreak havoc on the enemy team. The Gaso-Heal star power allows Stu greater survivability, which can be very useful in certain scenarios. That being said, I prefer Zero Drag as it gives you greater mobility and allows you to move around more easily.Damage gear is always very helpful, as it allows you to squeeze in just a little bit more damage in close fights, and that damage can often be the difference between securing a kill or getting taken out. The Shield gear is also helpful to improve your survivability.Speed gear is a good alternative on bushy maps, and you could also run the Gadget Charge gear on maps that have more walls. MODESStu is versatile, his great mobility with his Super allows him to be viable in a variety of game modes. The modes I prefer to use Stu on are Brawl Ball, Solo Showdown, and Knock Out, though be can also provide value in other modes like Gem Grab or Wipeout.Stu's Super makes him an excellent counter to close-range brawlers, as even brawlers that have abilities that allow them to jump straight onto a target, like Edgar or El Primo, can still be easily escaped from by using Stu's Super. This makes him especially good in modes where close-ranged brawlers are a common sight, such as in Brawl Ball.Remember to play aggressively, constantly pressuring opponents and breaking walls in a way that benefits your team.
Game Modes
Brawl Ball
Stu is excellent in Brawl Ball thanks to his high mobility, and ability to open specific parts of the map to enable his team to score more easily.Prioritize breaking the walls that are near the enemy goal, as this will make it easier for your team to score. Play aggressively and put constant pressure on the enemy team. You can use your Super to easily close the distance and ambush lower health brawlers, and to stay out of reach of tanks and other close-range brawlers.Don't be afraid to use your Super to kick the ball, as Stu can get his Super very easily compared to other brawlers.
Knockout
Put pressure on the enemy team by constantly poking them with your attacks. Stu doesn't have the burst damage of other assassins, but you can easily secure kills against lower health targets by closing the distance. Break walls that the enemies may be using to hide, especially if you have allies that prefer an open map, like Piper or Belle.
Showdown
In Solo Showdown, at first prioritize getting power cubes. Go for boxes that are undisputed. As Stu you want to play a balance of aggressive and defensive. Try to avoid situations where there are several enemies at once since Stu prefers 1v1s, so your best targets will be brawlers that are isolated. If you encounter a dangerous situation, use your Super to escape.
Duels
Stu excels in 1v1 scenarios, so he does very well in Duels. Use him as your first or second brawler, as he can gain his Super very easily. Try to always have his Super charged, so that even if you lose, your next brawler will start with their Super already charged.Place Stu right before a brawler that greatly benefits from having their Super already charged at the start of the round, like Leon, Mico or Surge.
Works Well With
Piper
Marksman brawlers like Piper greatly appreciate having the map opened up. You can break walls that enemies are hiding behind to enable Piper to more easily take them out.
Belle
Similarly to Piper, Belle is a marksman brawler that prefers open maps, and will appreciate Stu breaking walls that the enemies could use for cover. Her main attack also punishes enemies for staying too close together, thus encouraging them to spread out more, and making it easier for Stu to pressure them individually. Her Super also leaves enemies more vulnerable to being finished off by Stu.
